Sikkens Cetol Novatech
Sikkens Cetol Novatech is a high build, high solids, low solvent translucent satin finish woodstain.
Suitable for use on smooth planed softwoods and hardwoods, the high-build nature of the Sikkens Cetol Novatech and Novatop system gives substantial labour savings due to the reduced number of coats required when compared to traditional solvent-borne woodstain systems.
Coverage:
- 16-20 m2/litre on planed timber
- 6-10m2/litre on rough sawn timber
Touch dry : 3 to 5 hours
Recoatable : 16 hours
Based on a new generation of high solids, alkyd binders, leading to a considerable reduction in solvent
emission.
- Resists ultraviolet light and mould growth within the coating
- Moisture vapour permeable
- Excellent absorption and adhesion properties, resulting in a level of durability with only two coats normally
associated with traditional three coat systems
Finish
Translucent satin finish, however due to the nature and composition of this coating, a high level of initial gloss is
possible. This will reduce to a satin finish after a short period of time. The gloss level will depend on timber
condition, species and method of application.
