Grading and Production

Our Siberian Larch grade is known as 'A/B Grade' and does not include low quality material that is common in the UK market. It is 100% heartwood which not only gives it consistent colouration but also makes it more durable. It has a limited number of small live knots present which do not detract from the beauty of the product.

It is uniformly kiln dried to 16 - 18% moisture content and is ready for immediate installation - no acclimatisation is required.

Siberian Larch products from Silva Timber are produced to the highest manufacturing standards. Our products are quality controlled by the Federation of European Planing Mills (VEH) to a consistent grading standard which means our customers receive exactly what is expected.
Boards are shrink wrapped in packs of 6 to ensure they arrive on site free from damage.

Trade packs are new unopened packs of timber that go in and out of our warehouse with minimal handling. This allows us to keep costs to a minimum which we pass on to you. These packs are sold unopened and unchecked and as with any natural product you should expect a few minor defects on a small percentage of the boards, however these will be minimal if at all and we have factored this into the price.
