Our relationship with GRK stretches back to 2001 when we were researching the best fixings and fasteners worldwide. Time and time again we came across rave reviews on the internet of GRK screws. We immediately made contact with GRK in Canada and a few days later a huge box of samples arrived via FedEx The box contained all kinds of screws to suit a multitude of applications and all sharing one significant feature - a star drive head rather than the more common flat, cross, or posi-drive head, but more about that later...
We began putting the screws to the test and were immediately blown away by their effectiveness. They drove into both hardwoods and softwoods easily without pre-drilling. They didn't break and the heads didn't strip out, in fact they could be driven in and out of the material repeatedly without a problem (try doing that with an ordinary screw). We found that GRK screws were a pleasure to use and perfect for decking projects that involve installing hundreds and often thousands of screws.
