When it comes to economical pressure treated decking, is in a Canadian Redwood class of its own. It is dense with tight growth rings and offers excellent strength and stability.

This high grade treated Canadian Redwood pine can also be used for constructing the frame of the deck. It is also ideal for pergola beams and rafters, wall framing, roof framing and has other construction uses.

Canadian Redwood has a smooth surface rather than being grooved as most treated deck boards are in the UK. The main disadvantage of grooved or reeded deck boards is that they hold water and trap organic matter such as dead leaves which causes algea growth.

With its smooth profile and rounded edge Redwood is aesthetically pleasing and as its name suggests, pleasant to walk on 'barefoot'. Water drains off quickly rather than becoming trapped in the grooves so it dries out faster too.

Trade packs are new unopened packs of timber that go in and out of our warehouse with minimal handling. This allows us to keep costs to a minimum which we pass on to you. These packs are sold unopened and unchecked and as with any natural product you should expect a few minor defects on a small percentage of the boards, however these will be minimal if at all and we have factored this into the price.
